From Pernambuco Brazil to Vancouver: A Transformative Experience at CCEL

Over the past few months, CCEL has had the honour of welcoming an incredible group of students from Programa Ganhe o Mundo, an initiative created by the Pernambuco State Department of Education in Brazil. This meaningful program provides young learners with the opportunity to broaden their horizons through international education—and we were proud to be part of their journey here in Vancouver.

From the very beginning, this group stood out. Their dedication to learning, respectful attitude, and genuine curiosity created a positive and dynamic atmosphere both inside and outside the classroom. Whether participating in lessons, engaging in discussions, or exploring the city, the students consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to improving their English and making the most of their experience abroad.

Over the course of four months, we had the privilege of watching their growth—not only in language skills, but also in confidence, independence, and cross-cultural understanding. They embraced new challenges, built friendships with classmates from around the world, and immersed themselves in Canadian culture with enthusiasm.

Their presence enriched our school community in many ways. Teachers and staff were continually impressed by their motivation and positive energy, and their classmates appreciated the diversity and perspective they brought to daily interactions.

At CCEL, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom, and this group truly embodied that spirit. Their journey was not just about learning English—it was about personal development, cultural exchange, and creating lifelong memories.

As their program comes to a close, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Programa Ganhe o Mundo and the Pernambuco State Department of Education for their trust and partnership. It has been a privilege to host such an outstanding group of students.

We look forward to the opportunity to welcome these students again in the future—whether during a visit to Pernambuco or on a return to Vancouver for further studies. Until then, we wish them continued success in all their future endeavours.
